Required Skills and Qualifications* Bachelor's degree in English, Technical Writing, or a related field is desired* Certification in document management or configuration management is desired* At least five (5) years of experience developing, writing, and editing material for Test Plans, Test Reports, Risk Hazard Assessment, and Safety Procedures, with a significant portion of that experience in document configuration management* Demonstrated technical writing and editing skills, with the ability to create clear, concise, and accurate technical documents* Thorough understanding of document formatting and layout principles* Ability to research and synthesize information from various sources* Familiarity with technical writing style guides and terminology* Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with engineers and other technical staff* Demonstrated attention to detail to ensure accuracy and completeness in all documents and adherence to configuration management requirements* Expert knowledge of document configuration management principles and practices, including version control systems (e.g., SharePoint, Git, Subversion) and document management workflows* Ability to develop and implement document configuration management plans and procedures* Training and mentoring skills to effectively train other technical writers on document configuration management best practicesPreferred Skills and Qualifications* Prior experience in a technical writing or editing role within a T&E environment, with specific experience in document configuration management.* Familiarity with document management systems used by the military or Government agenciesPhysical Qualifications
* The work of this position is performed in an environmentally controlled office environment* Must be capable of sitting and entering data on a computer keyboard for extended periods of time* Must be able to view computer monitor for extended periods of time* Must be capable of lifting 25 lbs. unassisted* Reasonable accommodation can be made to enable people with disabilities to perform the duties and responsibilities
