Job Description

The Electrician position performs variety of electrical trade functions such as the installation, maintenance or repair of equipment for the generation, distribution or utilization of electric energy.

Qualifications

Pay Rate: $23.43 per hour
Schedule:
 Mon - Fri 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
Reports To: Maintenance Supervisor


* Follow electrical code, manuals, schematic diagrams blueprints and other specifications, using hand tools, power tools and electrical and electronic test equipment.
* Install power supply wiring and conduit for newly installed machines and equipment.
* Connect power supply wires to machines and equipment, and connects cables and wires between machines and equipment, following manuals, schematic diagrams, and blueprints, using hand tools and test equipment.
* Diagnoses malfunctioning apparatus, such as transformers, motors and lighting fixtures, using test equipment and replaces damaged or broken wires and cables using hand tools.
* Replaces faulty electrical components of machine, such as relays, switches and motors and positions sensing devices using hand tools
* Programs, operates, tests for malfunctions and verifies repairs.
* Plans wiring layouts and installs wiring, conduit and electrical apparatus in buildings.
* Diagnoses and replaces faulty mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic components of machines and equipment.
* Maintain work area free of conditions that may cause health problems, fire, property damage or result in personal injury
* Ensure compliance with Company Code of Ethics and Standards of Conduct and Business Conduct Program.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Qualifications

* Must possess an Oklahoma Journeyman Electrical License or the ability to license out within one year from date of hire.
* Must have 5 verifiable years of experience as a Journey Electrician.
* Must have a working knowledge of the NEC and the ability to perform electrical work according to the NEC.
* Must be able to be on your feet for long periods of time.
* Must use “down-time” effectively to the benefit of the company.
* Must be well-mannered customer service attitude.
* Must be punctual, responsible and dependable.
* Must demonstrate motivation, initiative, and reliability.
* Must be able to work as part of a team, fostering teamwork in a dynamic environment.  
* Must be detail oriented. 
* Must be willing to cross-train in other areas.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Physical Demands and Working Conditions

* Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and physical and periodic retests.
* Must be capable of working in extreme weather conditions including winter and summer temperatures.
* Must be able to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for work task assigned.
* Must meet the physical requirements necessary to perform operations outlined, performed, and stated in the SOP’s for General Support Service.
* Must be capable of standing for long periods of time and walking long distances.
* Must be capable of lifting 50 lbs. chest high unassisted repeatedly during the duty day.
* Must be able to ascend and descend equipment, ladders, scaffolds, lifts, etc.
* Must be able to assist with varied kinds of work including, but not limited to, pouring concrete, snow removal, assembling modular furniture and changing light bulbs.
* Must be at least 18 years of age.

Relevance of experience to be determined by hiring manager.

Terms of Employment and Eligibility Requirements

* Must be a U.S. Citizen
Must be at least 18 years of age.

* Must possess a valid driver's license, without special restrictions.
Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and physical and periodic retests.
* Must pass OSBI background check.
