Job Description

The Principal Engineer will play an integral role on the TRAX Technology & Engineering Center (TTEC) Team, providing data and operational support to the leadership team. The successful candidate will apply their knowledge of engineering principles to activities associated with maintaining technical requirements with diverse engineering projects. The ability to gather and analyze information will lead to success in this position. Experience in the research, development, estimating, planning, scheduling, testing and analyzing of computer software, networks, and mechanical equipment/installation to meet technical requirements will ensure success in this position.


Lead/manage/support technical projects associated with TRAX Technology and Engineering Center (TTEC) tasking.
Research, develop, estimate, plan, schedule, test, analyze, troubleshoot and integrate electronic, computer software, network/communications, information technology, and mechanical equipment/instrumentation and hardware to meet technical requirements associated with diverse engineering projects.
Work directly with Government and Commercial customers to achieve the desired outcome.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Required Skills and Qualifications

* Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Physics, Computer Science or Mathematics plus a minimum of 15 years of experience in technical project management/support.
* A MS or PhD in one of the above fields may be substituted for five years of required experience.
* Must possess a valid driver’s license.
* Candidate selected will be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
* Strong engineering, mathematics, physics, network, and Department of Defense contract support background.
* Extensive knowledge of operational testing concepts, requirements, and execution; to include data acquisition tools, processing, and analysis techniques.
* Hands-on experience with installation, testing, and troubleshooting of test instrumentation and associated software, control systems, data transmission and data analysis for DoD test and evaluation programs.
* Active or recent DoD secret clearance.
* Highly developed analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail is a top priority.
* Must share a commitment to maintaining a positive, collaborative work environment while simultaneously optimizing individual performance and contribution.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions

The work of this position is performed in an environmentally controlled office environment.
Must be capable of sitting and entering data on a computer keyboard for extended periods of time.
Must be able to view computer monitor for extended periods of time.
Must be able to lift 25 pounds unassisted.

Must be a U.S. Citizen.
Must possess or be able to obtain a security clearance prior to employment and maintain security clearance for the duration of employment.
Must be able to successfully complete a background check.
