Job Description

The Project Management Coordinator (PMC) will be responsible for synthesis of project tasks that are tracked and managed by project leaders. This position is central to ensuring delivery of the project on time, on budget, in scope and to the required quality specification for the Integrated Directed Energy Architecture (IDEA) project. This position will report to the TRAX Technology, Engineering Center (TTEC) Deputy Director and delivers the project with the direct support of the project team.

The PMC develops the detailed project management and execution plan(s) of the assigned project and implements them together with the project Chief Engineer and assigned project team. The PMC is responsible of working hand in hand with the Chief Engineer, Prime contractor, and other suppliers/sub-contractors to complete all planning, reporting, required works, installations, commissioning of equipment and systems to the customer. While working within the guidelines, policies and mission of the organization and will be responsible for specific projects as assigned. Other duties as assigned.


* BS or BA in Business, Management, or Engineering discipline.
* 5-10 years of proven experience directly involved in business management, procurement, engineering and or management of medium and large projects.
* DoD Security Clearance: Secret with ability and willingness to attain Top Secret/SCI/SAP.

Additional Desired Skills/Certifications

* PMP Certification 
* MS Project, Merlin or Primavera 
* MBA a plus

Core Responsibilities

* Manage day to day operations alongside the project team and ensure project targets (scope, schedule, cost, EHS, quality) are constantly monitored to ensure project delivery and success.
* Develop detailed project management and execution plans and implement them.
* Tracking, reviewing and maintaining a detailed project plan.
* Managing project deliverables in line with the project plan.
* Implement the project management plan according to the required project charter (customer requirements.
* Directly manage the assigned project team to ensure project meets deliverables and expected benefits and at the interest of the organization.
* Potential support in hiring the contractor.
* Develop basic design specification, conduct value engineering study, and Earned Value Management.
* Continual monitoring of cost with the support of your controller and review invoices.
* Responsible for coordinating with Chief Engineer for sign off and punch list finalization.
* Working closely with other stakeholders and sub project teams to ensure proper interfacing and alignment in the overall project plan.
* Resolving cross-functional issues at the project level.
* Providing status update to the key stakeholders via regular meetings and reports.
* Prepares and delivers change requests and follows standard change control process with the support of the project team and cost controller.
* Initiating, recording, coordinating and resolving project issues and escalating when needed to the program owner in accordance with the project charter.
* Responsible for all project documentation control and formal communication.
* Responsible for final documentation gathering and storage/archiving in document system.
* Ensures adherence to Environmental, Health and Safety guidelines, directives and standards.
* Work and manage the project under our Quality Management ISO9001:2015 Project Processes.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions

Must be able to lift a minimum of 20 lb work in a professional office environment, stand and sit for extended periods of time. 
Travel may be required as necessary, although it is expected to be minimal.

Terms of Employment and Eligibility Requirements

Must be a U.S. Citizen.
Must possess a security clearance prior to employment and be able to obtain and maintain a TS-SCI security clearance for the duration of employment.
