Job Description

TRAX is a large business that has supported the Department of Defense since 1979 and currently performs services for the Army Test and Evaluation Command (ATEC) at Yuma Proving Ground, AZ; Fort Hood TX; Ft Greely, AK; and in the Republic of Panama.

As a Computer Operator I, Data Controller/Collector, you will:

* Work approximately 8 hours, 5 days a week during training and may work 12-14 hours during pilot and record test
* Collect data that will encompass Performance, Human Systems Integration, and Reliability, Availability and Maintainability information
* Conduct data entry, quality control checks of data, and investigate anomaly and request for information data
* Record the data authentication group meeting notes and tracking requests for information
* Account for all data into and out of the data management cell
* Scan paper-based data products to digital format and shredding the paper-based copies
* Demonstrate knowledge of MS Access and MS PowerPoint
* Perform other duties as required to complete assigned mission

Qualifications

Qualifications/Requirements:

* Must have two years’ experience in operational testing or other similar administrative occupation
* Must demonstrate proficiency in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel
* Must be able speak, write, read, and understand English
* Requires familiarity with the terminology of the office unit
* Carry a laptop in a field environment to observe test player actions and record observations onto laptop data collection forms
* Will walk across unimproved terrain in a field environment setting while carrying GPS, field gear, and other items for data collection
* May attend Drivers Training and drive a HMMWV at the test site
* Will use a GPS to determine field site grid coordinates, if required
* Recognized problems are referred to supervisor
* Must have a well-mannered customer service attitude
* Must be willing to cross-train in other areas
* Must use “down-time” effectively to the benefit of test, self, and company
* Must be punctual, responsible, and dependable
* Must demonstrate motivation, initiative, and reliability
* Must be adaptable, flexible, and able to adjust to new or changing instructions
* Must have a demonstrated ability to follow instructions and company policy
* Must be able to deliver quality products to the customer and be responsive to their needs
* Must be safety and security conscious, complying with rules and policies
* Must be able to work both as part of a team and independently
* Must demonstrate effective communication in English on a professional level, both verbally and in writing
* Must be able to work all shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed, sometimes on short notice, to support test missions

Physical Demands and Working Conditions

* Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical and drug screening
* Must be able to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for work tasks assigned
* Must be able to lift and carry a minimum of 25 pounds across unimproved terrain
* Must be able to enter, exit, and climb on and under test vehicles of various configurations, some in excess of 10 feet off the ground
* Must be able to work long and varied hours in extreme weather conditions
* Must meet the physical requirements necessary to perform operations outlined, performed, and stated in the SOPs for Data Acquisition Section
* The work of this position is sometimes performed in an environmentally controlled office environment and sometimes in the field where you are subject to the environment
* Must be capable of sitting and entering data on a computer keyboard for extended periods of time
* Must be able to view computer monitor for extended periods of time

Terms of Employment and Eligibility Requirements

* Must be a U.S. Citizen
* Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
* Must possess a valid driver's license, without special restrictions
Valid car insurance for access to military installations and travel
Must have dependable transportation and a dependable means of communication
* Must possess or be able to obtain a security clearance prior to employment and maintain security clearance for the duration of employment
