TRAX International (TRAX) anticipates the future award of the U.S. Army Aberdeen Test Support Services (ATSS) contract at the Aberdeen Test Center (ATC) in Aberdeen, MD. TRAX has been a leader in the DoD test and evaluation industry since 1979, and brings strong leadership in providing test services to the Army Test and Evaluation Command and tri-Service Program Managers that is augmented and supplemented by a best-in-class subcontracting team to provide the innovation, depth, breadth and reach-back to address existing and emergent requirements for the ATC ATSS contract.

The Supervisor is responsible for the overall supervision, training and performance of the employees in Section(s) supervised. Directs the field activities so that daily, short term and long term production objectives are achieved and also closely monitors the progress of the work. Supervisor is also thoroughly involved in the recruitment process, reviewing and evaluating the performance of subordinates and instigates and oversees disciplinary processes in conjunction with HR. This position manages and complies with the CBA and uses independent judgment in supervising the team to reach the company performance objectives. He/she participates in all investigations; meets with stewards regularly; interfaces with the HR Department, Operations and Program Manager. Additionally, the Supervisor is an integral part of the team, who must effectively communicate information to other key members of management. Directly supervises section chief(s) and section employees. Other duties as assigned.
The successful candidate will have authority, in the interest of TRAX Test Services, to supervise a team of employees using independent judgment and past experience to:
* Hire – Recruits and interviews to select the final candidate* Transfer – Makes evaluations of employee knowledge, abilities, performance and skill and transfer them to increase their level of growth and development* Suspend – Suspends an employee when judgment and experience dictates employee needs time away from the job so the investigation process can progress* Lay off – Determines lay off lists based upon volunteers, CBA regulations and seniority;* Recall – Determines recall based upon CBA regulations and seniority* Promote – Makes decisions to promote based upon review of employee performance and potential and relevant knowledge, skills and ability* Discharge – Completes investigations and makes recommendations to release an employee;* Assign – Upon reviewing the mission, creates work assignments in accordance with the CBA to successfully accomplish all objectives* Reward – Based upon success factors, acknowledges efforts by recognizing employees;* Discipline – In compliance with the CBA and in conjunction with HR, manages the discipline process* Direct employees – In the day-to-day operations, directs the work to be accomplished* Address grievances – Must take action on grievances in accordance with the CBA* Must share a commitment to maintaining a positive, collaborative work environment while simultaneously optimizing individual performance and contributions
* Bachelors of Science Degree in an Engineering discipline from an ABET accredited school OR Associates Degree with 8 years related experience OR 10 years equivalent related experience.* A minimum of four (4) years’ experience in a leadership role.* Requires in-depth experience and broad working knowledge/skills in customer relations and understanding of customer service techniques.* Demonstrated ability to design, develop, and document technical solutions.* Must have project management and leadership skills.* Must have a positive outlook in meeting challenges.* Must be able to learn new technologies.* Must have good oral and written communication skills.* Must have demonstrated ability to perform their duties with a high level of attention to detail.Must be Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.).* Must be able to work all shifts, weekends, holidays and overtime as needed, sometimes on short notice, to support test missions.* Must possess or be able to obtain a security clearance prior to employment and maintain security clearance for the duration of employment.* Must possess a valid driver's license, without special restrictions.* Must have dependable transportation and a dependable means of communication.* Must be able speak, write, read, and understand English.* Must have a well-mannered customer service attitude.* Must be willing to cross-train in other areas.* Must use “down-time” effectively to the benefit of test, self, and company.* Must be punctual, responsible, and dependable.* Must demonstrate motivation, initiative, and reliability.* Must be adaptable, flexible, and able to adjust to new or changing instructions.* Must have a demonstrated ability to follow instructions and company policy.* Must be able to deliver quality products to the customer and be responsive to their needs.* Must be safety and security conscious, complying with rules and policies.* Must be able to work both as part of a team and independently.
Terms of Employment and Eligibility Requirements
