Job Description

Position Purpose

The Human Resources Generalist (HRG) is responsible for providing efficient and effective Human Resources support in the following targeted areas: Recruitment/Onboarding, Benefits and Training. The HRG will collaborate with the Human Resources Director to deliver support in these areas to meet business and mission objectives for employees and management across all program contracts.  This position requires developing relationships across the company to have a direct impact on delivering value added service to all.   

 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support the new hire onboarding process.
  • Provide onboarding support for the Talent Acquisition and HR teams while working closely with program management teams as well.
  • Generate all new hire paperwork for designated contracts and ensure that all documentation and onboarding processes are completed and accurate prior to the employee starting employment.
  • Acquire and maintain expertise to provide support in CyberRecruiter (ATS), Right Signature and other systems related to onboarding.
  • Collaborate with HR teams and Management to ensure understanding of policies and procedures and respond to questions from employees as needed.
  • Obtain and maintain knowledge of benefit plans to address specific employee inquiries.
  • Use and provide guidance to employees and management on Cornerstone Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Track training requirements and review completion of training from LMS reports.
  • Assist with rollout of LMS updates, site maintenance, new programs/initiatives, core training, etc.  Go to person for the LMS.
  • Assist in maintaining HR filing systems.
  • Maintains current knowledge and supports compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and Company policies & procedures.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 5-7 years of experience as HRG or in similar Human Resources role
  • Prior experience with an Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and Learning Management System (LMS)

  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational, planning, and priority setting skills

  • Proven ability to work independently on multiple projects concurrently with time sensitive deadlines

  • Must demonstrate flexibility when work assignments or priorities change and a willingness to do whatever it takes to ensure the overall effectiveness of the HR function

  • Ability to prepare correspondence and documents with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail

  • Be resourceful in accomplishing work tasks and obtaining needed information

  • Ability to interact in a helpful, courteous, and professional manner

  • Demonstrated sense of urgency and level of energy required to handle a fast-paced environment

  • Ability to handle confidential data with a high level of professionalism
  • Must share a commitment to maintaining a positive, collaborative work environment while simultaneously optimizing individual performance and contribution

  • Strong Excel, PowerPoint, and Word skills

 

Physical Demands and Working Conditions

  • The work of this position is performed in an environmentally controlled office environment

  • Must be capable of sitting and entering data on a computer keyboard for extended periods of time

  • Must be able to view computer monitor for extended periods of time

  • Must be able to lift 25 pounds unassisted
