Position Pending Contract Award

TRAX International (TRAX) is preparing a proposal for future performance of the Redstone Test Center (RTC) Test Support Services contract in Huntsville, AL. TRAX is a large business that has supported the Department of Defense since 1979 and currently performs services for the Army Test and Evaluation Command (ATEC) at Yuma Proving Ground, AZ; Fort Hood TX; Ft Greely, AK; and in the Republic of Panama. All positions are full-time and have generous health care, 401(k) and vacation benefits. Salaries are negotiable based on specific experience and proven performance.

Responsible overall for the performance of the work on RTC. Responsible to be available during RTC normal duty hour/duty day except federal holidays or when the government facility is closed per installation commander. Manages the overall technical and administrative support activities of more than 800+ prime and subcontractor personnel in the execution of test support services located in Huntsville, AL and numerous CONUS and OCONUS temporary test locations. Serves as primary company point of contact for TRAX International with Contracting Officer, RTC Technical Director, and RTC Commanding Officers. Has authority to fully execute contract modifications, subcontracts agreements, and any purchase orders; subcontracts may exceed $2-7 M in annual value. Establishes performance standards for contract managers and leaders. Establishes minimum acceptable qualifications of engineering professionals and Subject Matter Experts. Prepares administrative and technical reports relative to contract requirements in adequate detail to ensure contractual compliance. Provides strategic oversight of major system development and instrumentation modernization efforts. Represents TRAX International as a senior executive with local and state organizations such as economic development and academic councils. Serves as primary point of contact for internal and external audit agencies. Serves as primary point of contact for resolution of non-routine personnel issues. Manages relationships with vendors and subcontract teaming partners. Oversees and supports annual operations budgeting and planning process. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or an applicable discipline such as other Physical Sciences, Mathematics, or Computer Science from an Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) accredited college/university and 15 years applicable experience; or a Master’s Degree in engineering or an applicable discipline in other Physical Sciences, Mathematics, or Computer Science from an ABET accredited college/university and 13 years applicable experience.
  • 2+ years of test and evaluation experience with DoD contracts.
  • Applicant must possess a Top Secret security clearance.
  • Demonstrated ability in monitoring, reporting, and presenting overall project cost, schedule, and performance to the customer.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Project or similar project management software.
  • Intermediate level of competency in basic computer software: MS Office.
  • 5+ years of supervisory experience in managing a technical workforce of 100+ people, preferably in government contracting and test environment.
  • Successful history in recruiting, staffing, training a diverse workforce to include multi-discipline engineers and Subject Matter Experts.
  • Experience in setting policy for safety, quality, and environmental compliance in accordance with local, state and federal laws and regulations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in communications with employees, Government customers, and local/state officials.
  • Demonstrated highly developed analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Skilled in delegating responsibilities to managers.
  • Must share a commitment to maintaining a positive, collaborative work environment while simultaneously optimizing individual performance and contributions.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions

  • The work of this position is performed in an environmentally controlled office environment or in the outdoors of the test center.
  • Must be capable of sitting and entering data on a computer keyboard for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to view computer monitor for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to lift 25 pounds unassisted.
