Responsible for the overall supervision, training and performance of the employees within Electronic Instrumentation Operations including Telemetry, Range Timing, Instrumentation Tracking Radar, Ballistics Instrumentation, Automotive Instrumentation, and RF Engineering and Spectrum Support. The Electronics Group Manager (EGM) directs the field activities so that daily, short-term, and long-term production objectives are achieved and closely monitors the progress of the work. The EGM is also thoroughly involved in the recruitment process, reviewing and evaluating the performance of employees, and initiating and overseeing personnel actions in conjunction with HR. This position manages and complies with the TRAX Rules of Conduct, company policies, government regulations, CBA, and other procedures as required; will use independent judgment in managing and supervising the team to reach the company performance objectives. The EGM participates in all investigations; interfaces with the HR Department, Operations Manager, and Program Manager. The EGM is an integral part of the team, who must effectively communicate information to other key members of management and is able to pass along information on problems and/or issues both from the customer and employees. The EGM is responsible for communicating with Government leadership, Contracting Officer Representatives (CORs), Quality Assurance Evaluators (QAEs) and Test Officers to ensure test needs are met. Directly manages, supervises and maintains daily communications with Supervisors and Section Chiefs to meet all mission needs, and promotes harmony among all employees in the Group. The EGM is responsible for maintaining adequate staff within the Group to meet all mission requirements and monitors overhead costs, and adjusts staffing levels as required. The EGM is responsible for developing, coordinating and implementing appropriate training plans. This position reviews, modifies and approves Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for section tasks as needed. Performs other duties as assigned.
