Job Description
TRAX International (TRAX) is preparing a proposal for future performance of the U.S. Army Evaluation Center (AEC) Support Services (AECSS) for Readiness and Analytics and Training and Professional Development contract in Aberdeen, MD. TRAX is a large business that has supported the Department of Defense since 1979 and currently performs services for the Army Test and Evaluation Command (ATEC) at Yuma Proving Ground, AZ; Fort Hood TX; Ft Greely, AK; and in the Republic of Panama. The Operations, Test and Evaluation Specialist V (Working Leader) will play an integral role on the TRAX team, providing data and operational support to the leadership team. The successful candidate will apply their knowledge of test and evaluation principles to activities. The Operations, Test and Evaluation Specialist V (Working Leader) will be able to lead and provide others with technical advice and direct others.  Experience in working well with others as well as the ability to coach others will ensure success in this position.

Qualifications

Duties and Responsibilities

  • May serve as a working leader responsible for leading and providing technical advice and direction to lower graded personnel.
  • Works independently on duties which may include, but are not limited to, monitoring work; ensuring product quality, accuracy, and timeliness; consolidating reports for COR regarding status updates and billing; and reviewing collected data for completeness, accuracy, and validity.
  • Performs a variety of routine Operations, Test, and Evaluation (OT&E) tasks designed to provide experience and familiarization OT&E methods, practices, and programs.
  • Works under the guidance and direction of an engineer; assignments screened for unusual or difficult problems and techniques; or procedures to be applied to the solution of problems will be selected by an engineer or the supervisor.
  • Provides professional OT&E support within allocated task resources.
  • Performs portions of OT&E tasks under the detailed direction of an engineer.
  • Applies commonly used equations and techniques to evaluate and solve assigned problems or systems.
  • Coordinates with others to assure all safety, security, environmental, and community concerns are adequately addressed.
  • Serves as an expert for providing technical guidance and information to meet requirements.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in technical subject discipline or Business plus ten years of experience; or fourteen years of experience in lieu of degree, in development and/or testing planning, reviewing, executing testing, and reporting of Operational Test and Evaluation and include implementation of Continuous Comprehensive evaluation concepts and procedures.
  • Experience in DoD integrated test philosophy, test regulations, and coordinated test and evaluation programs are required
  • Must be familiar with DoD drawings, specifications practices, formats, and procedures.
  • A Secret security clearance is required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Developed analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail is a top priority
  • Must share a commitment to maintaining a positive, collaborative work environment while simultaneously optimizing individual performance and contribution

Physical Demands and Working Conditions

  • The work of this position is performed in an environmentally controlled office environment or in the outdoors of the proving ground
  • Must be capable of sitting and entering data on a computer keyboard for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to view computer monitor for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to lift 25 pounds unassisted
