Job Description

TRAX International, located in Forest Virginia, specializes in providing engineering services to the power industry.  TRAX has an immediate opening for a creative and energetic engineer to join our growing modeling and simulation team.  This position combines the practical and theoretical sides of engineering.  The successful candidate will have an opportunity to work with a dedicated, close-knit group of engineers and software developers.

Duties will include:
    • Work with domestic and international customers to understand problems and formulate solutions
    • Use state of the art software to create simulation models
    • Design and test control strategies to improve plant operation
    • Maintain and improve existing simulators and simulation models

  • BS or MS degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering
  • Familiarity with high level computer languages
  • Ability to work independently
  • Occasional domestic and foreign travel
  • Effective oral and written communication skills

Advantageous Skills:

  • Familiarity with design or operation of process equipment such as boilers, turbines and heat exchangers
  • Familiarity with DCS or PLC control systems
  • Previous experience with modeling or simulation software
