Job Description
TRAX International (TRAX) is preparing a proposal for future performance of the U.S. Army Evaluation Center (AEC) Support Services (AECSS) for Readiness and Analytics and Training and Professional Development contract in Aberdeen, MD. TRAX is a large business that has supported the Department of Defense since 1979 and currently performs services for the Army Test and Evaluation Command (ATEC) at Yuma Proving Ground, AZ; Fort Hood TX; Ft Greely, AK; and in the Republic of Panama. All positions are full-time and have generous health care, 401(k) and vacation benefits. Salaries are negotiable based on specific experience and proven performance. 

The RAM Engineer III will play an integral role on the on the TRAX team, serving as a working leader who can provide technical data and operational support to the team. The successful RAM Engineer III will work to ensure product quality as well as timeliness of projects.  The ability to analyze information and make the complex simple is key in being successful in this position. The triumphant RAM Engineer III will be able to ensure compliance with Government contracting regulations.  Experience in the ability to lead while ensure everyone is working in a safe, secure, and productive environment as elements of success as a RAM Engineer III.

Qualifications

Duties and Responsibilities

  • May serve as a working leader responsible for leading and providing technical advice and direction to lower graded personnel.
  • Duties may include, but are not limited to, monitoring work; ensuring product quality, accuracy, and timeliness; consolidating reports for COR regarding status updates and billing; and reviewing collected data for completeness, accuracy, and validity.
  • Coordinates with others to assure all safety, security, environmental, and community concerns are adequately addressed.
  • Independently evaluates, selects, and applies standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria, and makes minor adaptations and modifications.
  • Provides independent and professional support on portions of complex projects.
  • Specific assignment objectives, approaches, and possible solutions are reviewed for accuracy and completeness.
  • Duties and responsibilities include: independently performs a project assignment that involves complex features and can be guided by codes, standards, and other precedents of the discipline; analyzes and/or evaluates the results of an analysis using techniques prescribed by senior engineers or supervisors; and accomplishes tasks of which require investigation of a many variables.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Must possess a Master’s Degree in engineering specialization or related discipline and fifteen years applicable experience primarily in RAM modeling, design techniques, predictions, reliability growth management, requirements generation, software and specification inputs is required.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of DoD RAM Regulations required.
  • Six months of successful experience with database software (Microsoft Access) or other database software to archive RAM data from test and evaluation in order to identify RAM trends, lessons learned and success metrics.
  • Six months of triumphant experience in developing technical training on RAM test planning and data analysis methods.
  • Six months of successful experience in the interpretation of test incident reports (TIRS), RAM scoring conferences and use of failure definition scoring criteria.
  • A Secret security clearance is required.
  • Highly developed analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills is an asset.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail is a top priority.
  • Must share a commitment to maintaining a positive, collaborative work environment. while simultaneously optimizing individual performance and contribution.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions

  • The work of this position is performed in an environmentally controlled office environment or in the outdoors of the proving ground
  • Must be capable of sitting and entering data on a computer keyboard for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to view computer monitor for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to lift 25 pounds unassisted
