Sr. Engineer – Radar Cross Section

The Sr. Engineer – Radar Cross Section will play an integral role on the Pax River Team, providing data and operational support to the leadership team. The successful candidate will apply their knowledge of engineering principles to activities associated with maintaining the technical documentation and reports. The ability to apply general engineering principals to testing will lead to success in this position. The triumphant Sr. Engineer – Radar Cross Section will be able to ensure compliance with Government contracting regulations. Experience in performance of system integrations and quality assurance testing will ensure success in this position.
Duties and Responsibilities
Applies general engineering principles to investigate, analyze, plan, design, develop, implement, test, and evaluate range instrumentation systems, range data acquisition and display systems, and test communication systems.
Reviews and prepares engineering and technical analyses, reports, change proposals, and other technical documentation.
Applies general engineering experience to perform functions such as system integration, configuration management, quality assurance testing, or acquisition and resource management.
Independently performs advanced, technically complex data quality engineering tasking.
Assigns engineering tasks to junior and journeyman data quality engineers based their capabilities and experience and the complexity of the tasks.
Spot checks the quality of the work products and services of journeyman engineers.
Senior engineers act as an engineering team leader or supervisor developing engineering procedures and controls, managing project efforts, and taking the lead in problem resolution.
Interfaces with system or program contractors, vendors, and Government representatives regarding the technical aspects of engineering programs.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Qualifications
MS degree in an engineering discipline from a school of engineering having at least one professional engineering curriculum accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) (or in related disciplines such as physics, mathematics or computer science).
A minimum of 10 years of experience performing the stated functions.
In lieu of MS degree, a total of 14 years’ experience in performing the stated functions will be accepted.
A minimum of 4 years associated with engineering functions as related to development, test, or evaluation of instrumentation systems.
Possess an academic and work experience background in such areas as preparation of technical and operational test plans, execution of sophisticated tests, certification of systems, logistic support planning, technical data review, and analytical interpretation of test results.
Knowledge of computer systems, software, networks, interfacing.
Top Secret / Secret Clearance.
Must be US citizen.
Selected candidate will need to provide a Letter of Intent.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail is a top priority.
Advanced skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office.
