Job Description

HOURLY RATE PER CBA

EMPLOYMENT PERIOD WILL BE THROUGH 20 DECEMBER 2019

CURRENT SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIRED

POSITION DESCRIPTION: Prepares test items, test sites, related equipment, and facilities in support of Integrated Air and Missile Defense System (IAMD) testing. Setup and operates instrumentation (i.e. data collection devices, communications and video equipment, etc.) Maintains multiple data collection devices for system under test. Conducts assigned test in accordance with approved operating test plans and procedures. Ensures system operations and maintenance are performed in accordance with prescribed procedures. Documents and reports test data and results. Uses  technical knowledge and familiarity of Integrated Air and Missile Defense Systems to perform job requirements.

Applies general knowledge of Integrated Air and Missile Defense Systems operating procedures, testing requirements and references written manuals and procedures to assure proper setup and operation of equipment for test purposes. Receives technical guidance, as required, from supervisor or higher level test control technicians.  May be assigned other duties within his or her capabilities. Work will include cross-utilization into other jobs as required. May require some overtime and/or weekend work.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Graduation from a two year technical program at an accredited institution or a total of three years progressive experience in the specific or a closely related field.  Military training and practical experience with one or more Air Missile Defense Systems will be evaluated and may satisfy the formal education requirement. May be required to obtain an ammunition and explosives certification as per IAW ATEC 385-1 chapter 14, Level II.  Must possess a valid driver’s license. Applicant selected will be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and maneuver around weapons systems and be able to work in exterior unprotected environments.

DESIRED QUALIFICATION: Experience with Army Integrated Air and Missile Defense System (IAMD) or related Air Missile Defense systems (. e.g. PATRIOT, THAAD, etc.).
