Job Description
TRAX International (TRAX) is preparing a proposal for future performance of the U.S. Army Evaluation Center (AEC) Support Services (AECSS) for Readiness and Analytics and Training and Professional Development contract in Aberdeen, MD. TRAX is a large business that has supported the Department of Defense since 1979 and currently performs services for the Army Test and Evaluation Command (ATEC) at Yuma Proving Ground, AZ; Fort Hood TX; Ft Greely, AK; and in the Republic of Panama. All positions are full-time and have generous health care, 401(k) and vacation benefits. Salaries are negotiable based on specific experience and proven performance. 


The Human Factors Analyst II will play an integral role on the TRAX team, providing data and operational support to the leadership team. The successful candidate will be able to work independently and with minimal guidance. The ability to gather and analyze information will lead to success in this position. The successful Human Factors Analyst II will be able to ensure compliance with Government contracting regulations.  Experience in monitoring operations to identify issues and rectify problems will ensure success in this position.

Qualifications

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Independently performs technical and analytical work by selecting methods, planning and coordinating details, and completing work through to its conclusion with minimal guidance.
  • Completed work is reviewed for soundness of analysis, the suitability of methods used, and for conformance with organizational analytical procedures and practices.
  • Plans, coordinates, and conducts reviews, assessments, studies, and projects.
  • Plans, develops, organizes, coordinates, implements, and evaluates projects in support of programs for areas engaged in diverse operations and functions and serves as an advisor on all aspects of the assigned program areas.
  • Compiles new information, considers data from a variety of sources, and follows standard approaches, methods, and procedures to plan and carry out assignments.
  • Reviews, conducts, and evaluates routine sampling, surveys, inventories, data, and findings.
  • Monitors operations to identify and rectify problems.
  • Evaluates adequacy of controls and corrective measures.
  • For meetings, proposes agenda topics, tracks resulting action items, assists development of presentations, and ensures complete coordination.
  • Reviews and prepares portions of plans, forms, procedures, reports and related documents. Coordinates issues pertaining to project compliance, schedule, and corrective actions.
  • Assists in developing and conducting various training.
  • Performs data collection and assists in compilation of technical and programmatic data from a variety of sources.
  • Conducts analysis, integration, categorization, and summarization of technical and funding data on programs and develops briefings, information papers, and reports that explain and support routine programs, initiatives, solutions, and investments.
  • Evaluates, selects, adapts, and modifies standard techniques and criteria.
  • Ensure test plans will meet the evaluation needs and address measures of evaluation and performance.
  • Ensures adequate incorporation of safety, fire protection, human factors, and design factors affecting occupational health provisions in accordance with existing standards, regulations, laws, and other sound safety engineering principles and practices.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in a relevant field and three years field experience in human factors engineering or testing of major military systems.
  • Shall include experience in Manpower Personnel Training (MPT) and/or the use of human development or testing military systems which would include experience in the use of human factors instrumentation.
  • Secret security clearance is required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Highly developed analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail is a top priority.
  • Must share a commitment to maintaining a positive, collaborative work environment while simultaneously optimizing individual performance and contribution.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions

  • The work of this position is performed in an environmentally controlled office environment or in the outdoors of the proving ground.
  • Must be capable of sitting and entering data on a computer keyboard for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to view computer monitor for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to lift 25 pounds unassisted.
