Assists in the fabrication, installation, and maintenance of state-of-the-art information technology systems including local and wide area networks, mini and microcomputer systems, and associated peripheral devices, and services operating systems and application programs to collect, manipulate, and distribute mission data. Assists in the functions of computer system analyst, operating and coordinating networks, data links; transmitting, receiving, operating, monitoring, controlling and processing all forms of digital media; and applying diagnostic, corrective and recovery techniques. Assists in the administration of information systems and maintenance of all necessary security logs, updates and backups in accordance with AR25-2 and applicable Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVM) and Information Assurance Security Officer (IASO) policies. Applies diagnostic, corrective and recovery techniques, evaluates network communication problems, isolates malfunctions, and incorporates engineering changes. Applies technical knowledge to solve moderately complex problems that can be solved by referencing manufacturer’s manuals and similar documents.Works on high-end PC based digital instrumentation systems and facility system servers. Receives technical guidance from supervision and work is reviewed for compliance with accepted practices and work assignments. Work will include cross-utilization into other jobs as required.The successful candidate must be able to learn and adhere to TRAX Standard Operating Procedures and DoD Security Regulations. May require overtime, early/late shifts and/or weekend work.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Demonstration of satisfactory skill and good performance in Information Systems Technology; three years progressive experience in the specific field or graduation from a two year resident course at a technical institute. Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain certification as a DoD IAT Level 2 administrator under DoD 8570.01-M or its successor regulation. Candidate must possess one of the following DoD approved IAT workforce baseline certifications or subsequent higher level: CCNA Security, GICSP, GSEC, Security +CE, or SSCP. Candidate may be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Must possess a valid driver’s license.
Must be able to lift and manipulate rack mount and laptop computers during assembly and may be required to enter cableways and racks during installation and troubleshooting.
Demonstrate an understanding of maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of information technology systems, computers, software, hardware peripherals and devices. Experience using Windows 7, Windows 10, Server 2008R2 and Server 2012 or later operating systems. Knowledge of computer security concepts and networking technologies.
